Rose A. Woodward

FRANKLIN - Rose Alma Woodward, 99, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen.

She was born in Franklin on April 6, 1910, the daughter of Victor and Harriet (Prebble) Trottier. Mrs. Woodward lived in Franklin most of her life, except during World War II, when she lived in York, Maine.

While in Maine, she worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and in shoe shops in Dover. In Franklin, she was employed at the former Sulloway Hosiery Mill and also at the Mica Shop in Tilton. She was last employed at Hoyt Electric in Concord before retiring.

Mrs. Woodward was a communicant of St. Paul Church and was the widow of Walter E. "Woody" Woodward, who died in 1999.

She was predeceased by a son, Donald E. Woodward.

Family members include three sons, Edward R. "Bud" Miller of Milwaukee, Ore., Richard Fendi Replica Handbags V. "Bill" Miller of Hollister, Mo., and Brent C. Woodward of Franklin; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thibault- Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, with spring burial in Franklin Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Mrs. Woodward may be made to Patients Activities Fund, Merrimack County Nursing Home, 325 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen 03303.
